The Studio

my one-person letterpress studio based in Kansas

I'm a Wichita State University graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design. Letterpress kind of snuck its way into my creative repertoire a few years ago and I immediately fell in love.

Everything that leaves this studio is made by me. My boyfriend Brooks helps stuff envelopes sometimes. He works for free and I think that's very kind of him!

I grew up in Oklahoma and have always lived in the Midwest. It's my favorite part of the country, and I love contributing to the creative ecosystem here.

I Believe In

analog in a digital age

My press was manufactured over one-hundred years ago. It doesn't require electricity and doesn't use a screen. So, while I use modern digital tools to design suites, all of the production is done manually. Every piece is set, inked, and pressed by hand. In an age where we are overexposed to digital convenience, I believe that not everything needs to be faster.

sustainability matters

I source materials from small businesses that actually share my values surrounding inclusivity and sustainable practice. Most of my suppliers are US-based, many are Midwest-based. You can feel good knowing you contributed to good small businesses by working with me.

design with intention

A decade in graphic design means I think in systems, hierarchies, and meaning. Every design choice on a Meadowlark suite is highly considered and never accidental.

made for keeps

I want your guests to treasure your stationery! That's not something that happens with digital files, and it's a big part of why I love this work.

midwest made

The midwest gets a bad rap, but very few know that it is and has been a haven for creatives. I hope that my good-prairie-vibes can rub off on my work.

The Press

The workhorse

The Chandler & Price platen oldstyle is a hundred-year-old machine that is somehow still one of the best tools for this kind of work. It's loud, heavy, and not forgiving of carelessness. I love it.

Every piece is set, inked, and pressed by hand, one at a time. That's what gives letterpress its feel. A real impression in real paper that you can run your fingers across.

Ten Years of Design Experience

My BFA from Wichita State gave me a solid foundation, typography, color theory, layout, the discipline of working within a brief. This is all the good design school stuff that I use every day and in my crafted suites!

The Life

Outside the Studio

I live in Wichita with my partner and our dog, Charlie. Outside the studio I'm usually cooking, at the farmers market, on a trail, listening to music, or cuddling with my puppy!
